He was the CEO of OsteoBiologics Inc., a bioresorbable implant start-up sold to Smith & Nephews. He is the CEO of Arin Medical. Fred was CEO of 3 start-ups creating hundreds of million dollars in acquisition value.
SDIP`s CEO, Dr Maryam Parviz, along with Julie Schulte (CEO at Chamfr), Greg Stotts (Vice President and General Manager, OEM for Teleflex), and Jason Fox (Serial entrepreneur) discussed the manufacturing challenges for start ups. The event was held at Cannon Quality Group office in Silicon Valley. Attendees benefited experience from both the supplier and developer sides on keys to successful collaboration between startups and manufacturers.

Minister for Health and Minister for Medical Research, the Hon. Brad Hazzard, announced the inaugural winners of two prestigious international commercialization scholarships; Dr Maryam Parviz and Dr Iman Manavitehrani (SDIP`s founders). This award enables SDIP`s founders to spend two years in San Francisco at QB3, a life science innovation and entrepreneurship accelerator, the University of California’s hub. The scholarship will also cover product development costs and will give the founders access to mentoring and networking opportunities.
After a gruelling 4-week selection process, Australia’s home of deep tech, Cicada Innovations, has welcomed the cohort of six talented medtech startup businesses including SDIP Innovations to its inaugural national medtech accelerator program, MedLab. Cicada MedLab is a four-month structured followed by 8 months unstructured, mentor-driven accelerator for founders who are building high-growth medtech businesses.
